Being A Gamer is in the Blood

My wife and I have a lot in common, like for example, food. We both like pizza and pasta. We also love eating at eat all you can restaurants hehehe. We also have the same hobbies, like watching animes and staying in front of the computer for long a long period of time. I don’t know about her but I had this habit for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a family that moves from one place to another ALOT, my parents run a canteen business and they cater construction sites, so where ever there’s a construction you will find us there. Money was no issue and life is easy for them back then, however for me, it took its toll. I grew up with a 21 inch color TV and a computer as my best friend. I was even fortunate enough that I was able to have a family of my own haha, I started with a family computer then super nintendo and then PS1, and when online games started to hit the Philippines, ragnarok to be specific, I decided to upgrade from console to PC, back then I didn’t know anything about hard drives or memory and video cards, so my first PC was all crap hehe. However, like a computer i was able upgrade my knowledge about its components, so now I’m planning to assemble a PC that will satisfy my needs for quality performance. hehehe…

We Love Eat All You Can

Last November 8,my hubby and I ate at SM Megamall’s Tong Yang Shabu-Shabu and it was my hubby’s first time, and I’m glad he enjoyed it so much. Why wouldn’t he? It’s an eat all you can! LOL! It’s where you have variety of choices of raw seafoods, meats, and vegetables, then you cook it using soup of your choice (Tamarind soup, chicken soup, or beef soup), and since my hubby is suffering from colds, we opted to go for the Tamarind soup instead, in Filipino, Sinigang. Here is a picture of the choices, well I didn’t take a picture of each of them, but you get the picture. :P

Then after choosing our raw food, we cooked them on our serving of Tamarind soup, and you can also fry the food as well, see here in this picture, we’re frying some slices of fish cake using a generous amount of butter. YUMMY!

Sigh, we are actually doing restaurant hopping, so more foody pictures to come! Be sure to eat first before reading our upcoming posts! ^_^

Business and Insurance

Mommy’s hubby is posting again… :)

Having a business is not as easy as other people would think, specially, when you’re just starting. yesterday while I was eating in a fast food restaurant, there’s this group of 4 ignorant brats bragging on each other how rich they are that was sitting a table away from where I’m sitting. It’s very annoying I swear. Anyway, while I’m enjoying my cheese burger and their enjoying their nonsense one of them suddenly said “Hey guys know what, my dad will give me 300K to start a business after our graduation, then I’ll have you guys as my business partners” OUTLOUD!!. I know I don’t have any right to judge them but for me that was the most ignorant person on that place at that time. And then I said to myself, “WTF, who cares, it’s not even YOUR money. It’s your DAD’s. if this guy is planning to have a business with his so called buddies they should get a group health insurance and all other insurance that they can think off. Because if this group will not change their attitude, the business that their planning, will go nowhere and will just remain a plan, or worst…

Wireless Networking at Home

photo from http://gadgetlink2.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/05/linksys-n-router-gadgetlink2.jpg

I encountered a lot of people asking me how to connect to the internet wirelessly at home using their laptop. Of course the first thing I would ask if they have a wireless router. Usually, the common answer is “no”. Then, from there, I would know that they are not aware that you will need a wireless router to make a wireless network at home.

Personally, we have this laptop for almost 2 years now and it was only few months back when I bought a wireless router for it. Actually, we didn’t really need one since this laptop is our “desktop”, it’s the main and only computer we have here (my desktop is being used by my brother to play offline games), so basically, this laptop was on a wired internet connection. But I told hubby that I wanted to be able to blog in my bed, so I bought a wireless router. I bought a cheap one but if I had the money, I could have bought a Linksys router. It looks cool right? It’s a wireless N router which has a farther range and twice as much speed compared to the G routers. Mine is a G router but it does a good job, I don’t really need an N router as of the moment so I opted for a G router instead. But if you are not really on a tight budget and you want to be “future proof”, then you may want to go for the wireless N routers. ^_^
