Before I got married, I was really figure conscious. Whenever someone called me fat (whether it was a joke or not), I would literally run to the girl’s washroom and cry, and will start taking diet pills, eat less or even none, and made sure that I lose weight.
When college came, I knew it was hard not to eat anything since there were more activities and lessons that I should study for and exams to pass, so what I did was to attend my best friend EJ’s gym. Although I had to squeeze gym into my schedule to stay fit… But now that I’m a mom, I tend to eat a lot and don’t care much on my weight, but lately, I realized that almost ALL my clothes do not fit me anymore!
It’s an alarming stage!!! I might as well start dieting now to make sure that my clothes will fit me still…
I messaged my best friend Dom just a while ago, and he gave me a link, it had a song that made me cry… Why? It made me remember my teenage days. This is a song that I memorized way back my PlayStation 1 days. It’s called Wind Nocturne, from the game Lunar Silver Star Story Complete. Really nice game, and REALLY nice song, here it is, play it and I’m sure you’ll love it.
I leave you to search google for the lyrics.
It’s a start of a new year (by the way… BELATED CHINESE NEW YEAR!!!) and I’m planning to update my gadgets!!! ![]()
Okay here are my hubby’s and my gadgets wish list:
TOP ONE : A desktop computer with at least 3GB of memory, 256mb video card, Core 2 Duo 2.2GHz processor, 250GB of hard drive space, and some accessories like maybe built-in bluetooth, and wireless networking card
.
NUMBER TWO : A touch screen cell phone (Iphone can be good but it’s too expensive)… Not sure which model I want yet, and honestly, I need help badly with this!!! ![]()
NUMBER THREE : Flash memory, or an external hard drive for saving files like games, movies, etc…
Hmm… actually, these are the only gadgets that we are longing for, but honestly, I really want a touchscreen cellphone, you ask why? My answer… “I don’t really know.” ![]()
My mom and I have been talking about opening up a small karinderia near our lodging business, at first we were thinking of opening one right inside our lodging business since a lot of our customers are asking for foods and drinks, however, my dad said that it’s not really advisable to open one inside the lodging area since there have been cases of fire accidents, and also, the city hall peeps will surely ask for additional payment for that… ![]()
My hubby and I also talked about this idea as well, and he approved of it as well. I really like the idea of a food business since I did graduate HRIM, Major in Hospitality Management, so first, we already have a small lodging business, and now we’re planning to open a little eatery for people around Recto. Of course, we will be catering customers in our lodging business as well — we can take their orders and deliver them right in front of their room! Now that’s service! ![]()
It was actually unfortunate for us because there was an old eatery FEW STEPS, and I do mean few steps like around 50 steps or less away from our lodging business, which was about to close because the owner plans to retire, the location is really great for food busines, it was right in the corner of 2 busy streets, and the place was being sold for only 15K! But we were too late. When my mom went back, the owner said that someone already bought the place.
It was definitely a let go of an opportunity… So now we were hoping that there is another window of opportunity for an eatery business. Wish us luck peeps! ![]()
My team captain has a cardinal rule that on every Monday shift, we are required to wear formal attire. Our team’s initial reaction was “You got to be kidding.” Personally, at first I thought that it was against my will, but you know what? It’s actually something that’s nostalgic, something that I kind of miss.
During my college years, we were required to wear business attire for the whole week — girls in skirts, guys in silk ties, and of course, blazers and suits, but that’s not the case for our team, we are only required to wear something formal. It’s actually great since I am able to use my previous slacks and polos, but most of them are already small for me. I guess I’m really gaining a lot of body mass… ![]()
Remember that I promised an update about the unexpected interview, well here it is: ![]()
January 20 (Tuesday) at around 4am, which was a Monday shift for call center agents, I was “summoned” by our operations manager and was told that in a few minutes, the interview for coach position will start. During that time I was taking in chats and my customer was a sellable one, but due to the nervousness that I felt when I heard about the interview, I was not able to assist the customer well and to top it all up, my team captan messaged me that he’ll help me make a presentation for the interview, I was stunned and shocked!
What the heck did he meant by presentation?! He told me that apparently, all applicans will have to “present” something in front of the interviewes — WHY THE HECK WASN’T I TOLD ABOUT THIS PRESENTATION THING!? I swear I really wanted to back out of the interview, but thanks to my team captain, I was able to show a short presentation. And you know what? I pulled it off quite well I must say. I’m not really used to impromptu presentations ever since I was a student, but hey, I was proud of myself! I was even given
by the interviewers and other team captains as well, most of them were proud of me as well. WHEW! I have to say, this is all thanks to my TC.
But just last Tuesday morning, January 27, (okay it was a Monday shift for us), our account manager called all applicants to her room and announced who the account’s new coach will be — NOT ME! Well I wasn’t really expecting that she will pick me though since all other applicants have been working in the company for more than 2 years or so (I’ve been working for less than a year), so it’s more for the experience and the thrill, and you know what? I’m actually glad that I applied for coach position, since I felt more mature and more confident of myself, at least I know that I can be a better me! ![]()
