It’s been almost two weeks since I started going to gym. Yep! You read that right. And take note: It’s FREE. It’s an exclusive privilege for Telus employees, and as soon as I heard the good news, right after my first shift in Araneta, I went straight to the gym and inquired about the process on how to take advantage of the privilege. And it was easy as a pie! I just needed to make sure that I already have my gym outfit, then I would take a quick fitness test, afterwards, it’s gym time! :cheer:
I know that I’m not fat, nor am I thin. Considerably, I take myself as a medium built person after I gave birth. Most moms, like me, are having big problems around the waist area, thanks to the “baby fat” left behind. It’s actually annoying me a lot, not only because most of my clothes won’t fit me anymore, but it just doesn’t look good with a flappy belly peeking out under a tight shirt.
So my goal get is to rid of those unwanted fat and replace it with flat and tight contoured abs (preferably 6-pack).
So what is it about discipline and what’s the connection? Well, we all know that most people would give a lot of reasons to NOT go to gym, but it all boils down to just being lazy. And of course, if you are serious in losing weight, discipline in food intake is a must as well. Say no to fatty foods, and as for my routine, I’m on a semi-strict “High protein, Low carb” diet. Semi since I still eat fatty foods like my all time favorite Pizza, and Pasta… Hmmm… Must discipline myself.
I always believe in this Tagalog saying, “Kung ayaw may dahilan, kung gusto palaging mayroong paraan.” Which roughly translates, “If there’s a will, there’s a way.”
Tomorrow will be my 6th session… My schedule’s T-TH-S every after shift.
To my hubby: You just wait and see!
My family loves dogs. Currently, we own 2 of them namely, Maxi, and Jack-Jack. My dad takes great care of them and makes sure that they are well-fed, bathe, cleaned and are all free of fleas. Speaking of fleas, I encountered a website that recommends Frontline Plus Flea Control, which is a monthly flea preventive for dogs (and cats too)! I should recommend this to my dad…
Before we were having major problem with fleas, and had to make sure that we killed each one we see to prevent them from spreading and multiplying. It was annoying, and tedious, but since we love our dogs so much, we didn’t mind attending to their flea problem, and my dad finally got rid of the problem with few visits to the vet and buying our beloved dogs a flea control spray. I think my dad spent quite a lot for that, but he didn’t mind. He was pleased and glad that the flea problem was over.

To my dad, my hubby, and all the dad’s in the world…
We love you.
Here is a poem I really love that I would like to share, especially to my hubby, it’s titled:
“How Do I Love Thee” by Elizabeth Browning
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of every day’s
Most quiet need, by sun and candlelight.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love with a passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood’s faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints, I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life! and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.
My mom and I are planning to do some redecoration for our little garden, and maybe looking to have my mom’s carpenter friend build a house where we can store rarely-used, but important things like plates and utensils that my mom uses during parties, and speaking of parties, I have less than a month to prepare for my baby Julie’s birthday party, and honestly, I am not even half way there. I got no savings yet thanks to my hubby being jobless, but I guess I have to do this little by little.
I actually already have a plan…
I’ll create the menu and will canvass for ingredients, and make sure that I would do groceries
before hand, and keep them until ready to be used. Next is to make sure that the venue, which surely will be our house’s little garden, is clean and ready, and all furniture are properly covered with patio furniture covers to prevent dust and dirt to accumulate. There are also things that I am hoping that I can accomplish and get hold of for my baby’s birthday, one of which are the souvenirs, but I’m not sure if I can afford them… Also, I want to have a tarpaulin for display, which writes “Happy Birthday Julie Rayne” (no age here so that I can re-use it the next year
) and around the words will be her pictures. I’m also hoping that I will be able to buy her a layered cake,
with big bold letters: “Happy 2nd Birthday Julie Rayne” and 2 candles that we would blow out for her. :cheer:
I guess I’m asking too much for my baby Julie’s birthday, but as a mom, I really want my baby’s every single birthdays to be special.
If you don’t know who Peter Facinelli is… maybe this picture will remind you where you saw him.

YES! He’s our Edward’s foster dad. Our very own Dr. Carlisle Cullen!
So what’s the bet?

First for the Kreativ Blogger award, I got this one from “Mom From Manila”. Thanks for this one.
And for these 2 awards, I would like to thank Luana from Mommy Soul. :cheer:

Of course, I’ll be passing these on to my blogroll. ^_^ I believe everyone deserves an award.
