New Blogs

I have been wanting to own another domain, and yesterday, I finally decided to purchase a .info website. I paid $1.99 for the domain name good for one year in godaddy.com. I won’t tell you guys the name yet, but some of you may already know the site’s URL, but for those who don’t, let’s just stay put, and I’ll tell you guys once it’s ready for launch, and of course, I’ll be asking for link exchanges as well hoping to gain some page relevance for the site in the future. :) I’m not sure if getting a .info domain name is a good decision though, any inputs on this? :-?

My hubby is also looking to venture into full time blogging as well :cheer:, and asked me to purchase a domain name for his blog too, but he has not decided on a name yet so that can wait. He’s currently excited and is starting to learn some photoshop work for images that he would like to put up on his blog. I can’t wait for him to officially start blogging and maybe he can be a SAHD (Stay At Home Dad) .

Anyway, I’ll be working on my new blog in the upcoming days, making sure that it will be on its full operational state. Wish me luck guys! ;-)

Domain Updates

Last week, I kept getting emails from Google Apps telling me that my annual subscription to this domain (www.momhoodmoments.com) is about to expire on June 11, 2009, but since they would only allow Google Checkout as their mode of payment, I had to deposit the equivalent peso amount of $10 on my debit card, and thanks to my hubby, I was able to make my payment just in time:

And so… my blogging saga continues! :cheer: YAY!

Babysitter, Maid, House Help : Good or Bad?

Vicki From Fairly Odd Parents

Having a babysitter or maid is not really a must for every moms especially if you are available in taking care of your kiddo, but what if you are a working mom, your husband works as well, and your parents are also busy attending to the family’s business? You have no sibling that is willing to help you, or you have no sibling at all? Would you have other choices but to get one? :-?

If you choose to get a babysitter, then I’m guessing that’s your only option then. But what are the pros and cons of having one around the house, let alone taking care of your beloved baby?

Maybe you can also help me list down some pros and cons here, I’ll start:

holidaysandcash

I’ve been venturing into online MLM / networking before, which I was willing to spend for since even though it’s a bit risky to do it online as there are no possibilities to see the people involved, at least the initial cash out is far lesser compared to offline ones.

Before, I joined the egoldcashmaker (not sure if this is still going), an online MLM which only asks $10 for 6 months membership fee, I tried it and were able to gain back what was lost in 2 days… Before that, I also tried the one (forgot the name) which only entails $1 membership fee, so what is Php50 membership fee? So I joined that one as well, and got back my money in a few days. However, due to the unfortunate event, I stopped. That’s when I started paid posts instead, which I was sure to gain more.

Anyway, about offline networking, me and my hubby tried to join one, however when we got to know its membership fee ( P 12,600) 8O , we were hesitant. So we paid  P 5,000 first, but just right after the next day, we were broke. Seriously, we were not able to buy diapers and vitamins for Julie, and it caused a small fight between me and hubby. Thank GOD when I went to work that same day, my team captain told me that I won a raffle draw and gave me my P 15,000 price. I was really in tears…

After few months of being inactive from the network, I was contacted again, they were hoping that we would rejoin, and pay the remaining P 7,600 in 2 WEEKS, and was even urging me to borrow from others like friends or family just to be able to pay the full membership, honestly, that turned me off, why would they urge me to BORROW MONEY FROM OTHERS TO JOIN THEM?!?!?! At first, I said I’ll try to rejoin, but after talking to my husband, we decided to fully decline.

So what happened to the P 5,000? Well at first they told us that it’s a money back guarantee, but it seems that they are hesitant in giving back our money, I’m guessing because we’ve used the products as well… but isn’t that the point of the “money back guarantee”? If the product did not work, we get our money back? Anyway, I think I’ll just let the P 5,000 go (although it breaks my heart, 5k din yun!), I’ll consider it a lost and a lesson learned…

But honestly, if you are a person who works and gets just enough pay for your family’s expenses, where the hell do you get P 13,600, unless you are already rich enough to pay this?!

A Promise I’ll Keep – Hopefully.

It looks like I’ve failed myself again in the struggle to create at least a single post everyday… I really can’t seem to think straight anymore when I’m groggy and tired from work and travel, I always tried to fight my heavy eyelids from winning but I never won, I would usually end up sleeping in bed with the laptop beside me… So now, a lot of things I would like to share but the thoughts are scrambled, yet I want to be productive these coming days, so I jotted down on a piece of paper for simple “to-do” list, or in this case “to-post” list…

1st: my tasks, some of them are a bit overdue, but thanks for bearing with me… rawr!
2nd: sudden shift change… GOOD or BAD?
3rd: venue change… (looks like a lot of changes huh?)
4th: my personal thoughts on networking (no offense intended)
5th: thinking of a new business opportunity
6th: having a BIG weight problem

I’ll start working on them maybe later or Saturday at the latest. But for now, I’ll be keeping track on what I accomplish and will try to stick to the “at least one post a day” promise I made for myself. :)
